VALDOSTA — I work in insurance and believe me, doctors are paid very well. They over charge and that’s why the insurance is the way it is today. PAs do most of their work, whom in return think they are doctors. You may receive 5-10 minutes of an expensive charge with a doctor if you are lucky. The hospitals locally will catch the brunt of this because your doctor is out of the area. Fine by me.

Re: Doctors and Obamacare. You can’t force people to lose money. It is still a free country, Democrats.

The large reason why the City Council does not provide public transportation is because that responsibility fell to the county in the last reconciliation of services. Federal money ended and the county didn’t have a spare half-million laying around.

Today I had an online final exam interrupted by someone banging on my front door. People, if I were at all interested in joining your church, I would seek you out. I guess I will have to place one of those tacky “No Soliciting” signs on my house. I bet my landlord will love that.

No matter if you live in the City of Lake Park or in the surrounding areas, what’s good for the entire community should be what counts. Rezoning will not be good for our community.

I find it amusing when I ride in certain northside areas in this town, the signs that read “Pray for our Nation.” Now you want to pray for our nation. What a joke. If you weren’t praying eight years ago when we sent our soldiers looking for weapons of mass destruction, surely you don’t need to start now !

Having a visit at a certain health-care group doctor ... recently, I caught myself having to explain to the office personnel that “Obamacare” is a law, not an insurance company. I am yet searching for a primary-care doctor as I do not handle “blatant” ignorance very well.

Only those with limited knowledge of the subject, and no hard evidence, stoop to insulting others for doing something they disagree with. Stature has nothing to do with carrying firearms just as owning a Corvette or BMW has nothing to do with stature.

I’m so tired of cars parked in the road in neighborhoods. You can’t get in and out of your driveway and only one car can pass at a time. It’s especially bad in Old Wood Valley. People, please use your driveways.

If more sane people were armed, the crazy people would get off fewer shots. Glad we can carry guns now.
