VALDOSTA — I am not saying it is right or legal for people to sell their food stamps, but some do it because their jobs are low wage (typical of Valdosta) and they cannot buy non-food items with food stamps. You are speaking about something that you obviously know nothing about and that is poverty and hunger.
There are serious morale issues at SGMC. Their recent announced cuts are not well received, at all. Either the CEO is completely ignorant or is not being honest with the Hospital Authority Board. Be forewarned or there will be significant problems.
Just exactly how many unrelated people are allowed to live in a house and how many dogs are allowed in a house in the city? Please write the answer in this column.
How is cutting benefits for the employees who provide patient care going to result in better patient care and financial standing? Why doesn’t the Administration cut some of the useless VP’s and assistant VP’s and managers? No other organization that size has so many fluff layers between the CEO and the patient.
Special thanks to Sheriff Prine for letting my wife and child borrow his umbrella leaving a restaurant the other day. You have always been and continue to be first class.
I live close to the Withlacoochee River. Thank you for yet another sewage spill. We are so tired of the spilling into the river. When is someone going to be held accountable? Do something about the problem. Where is the EPA in all of this?
A huge thank you to the City of Dasher for much needed road maintenance around the Triple Lake area. All the residents appreciate it.
After doing away with the customer service desk at Valdosta Mall, and the office closes at 5 p.m., how are people able to rent wheelchairs now? I was told that you can’t after mall hours or on Sundays. We have a lot of elderly that like to shop as well but they can’t because of this. Some people don’t have wheelchairs.
