VALDOSTA — All 25,000 airmen aren't at Moody so I think they will be fine.

I am amazed at the amount of Dollar General Stores being built around the area. I do have one question for the County Commission or county manager. Has there been a study on the traffic increase that will occur with the new Dollar General Store being built on the Lowndes County side of Walkers Crossing (122 and 135)? With the dangers that this intersection poses, I sure hope that our engineers have taken a proactive approach to mitigate the increase in accidents that will occur at that intersection.

I'm not sure what happened to manufacturing but I do know what happened to the agriculture. It was when those people with get rich quick schemes decided to turn beautiful and bountiful farm land into a subdivision. Planting houses will never replace planting crops.

His Royal Highness has given his loyal subjects and the rest of his kingdom a list of all the things he will be doing to us (not for us) in the coming year. I only hope that we can survive all this goodness he is heaping upon us. I don't think that Obamacare is working out like he planned, and his royal cabinet is not feeling the love either. I pray we can live through these next few years.

Pushing your husband to abandon his child from a previous marriage shows how jealous and selfish you are. Shame on you!

Remember, the solution for the global warming “crisis” was a global tax on carbon dioxide emitted. This was to be a tax on living, since we all breathe out the pollutant carbon dioxide. It appears God has a sense of humor and grace on people led by fools.

A big rave to Darris at Olive Garden for his courteous and professional service! I have not been to Olive Garden in almost a year due to bad service and experiences in the past. It is now under new management and such an improvement. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

I enjoyed the opinion of the Times dated January 23, 2014. The Industrial Authority is a waste of money. They can only spend our tax dollars to buy more land for empty industrial parks. They have not succeeded in bringing in one industry worthwhile in years. I vote to disband the Authority and save the tax money we are forced to give them. Check out your property tax bill.
