Raves for Wednesday, November 13, 2013

The Valdosta Daily Times

VALDOSTA — Editor’s Note: In 2013, Wednesdays will be  rave-only days. Thank you to our readers for your support.

I want to send a rave to the owners of Nufound Treasures on Northside Drive. I have been in this store several times and every time I go in there I find such great deals. It is inviting and they have so many "different" and unique things. They are so friendly and willing to help any way they can.

Many thanks to everyone who helped make Cub Scout Family Camping Weekend at Camp Patten in Lakeland a success. The boys and their families had an awesome time!

A big rave to my doctor for sending me to Limbcare Prosthetics. The entire staff there is top notch. The office staff is always pleasant and very caring, and the leg man took the extra time that I needed to get me up on my feet again.  Now it’s time to go dancing.

A big rave to Dr. Andrew Benefield and nurses at SGMC. We brought our son in for stitches and once we made it past all the check in and triage, he was so wonderful to get the job done and get us on our way as soon as possible. Thank you for understanding that we just wanted to get our son home and in bed. Kudos for all you deal with day in and day out.

Kudos to the folks at the new Publix.

Thank you St. John’s for the Color Run. We had a blast!

What a classy, gracious move by Councilman Vickers with his Thank You sign for those who voted for SPLOST VII!

The new section of Gornto is fabulous! It is so easy to drive from the mall to Ashley. Thanks, city, county, state for what you’ve done with this.

Kudos to Courtney C., waitress at the Applebee’s on Perimeter. She made it her business to serve our large party even though we were not in her section after waiting 10 minutes for someone to wait on us. She was very kind and friendly; she made our night after a tough day. Great job, we will be back!

I have enjoyed the Christmas light show on Madison Highway near Madison many years with my family. I heard about it in 2010 on Scott James Show. Stopped in and talked to the family and yes they are having a show this year. I can't wait to see what they put together this year. I live in Adel and it’s worth the trip.

Huge thanks to the nice guy who bought my coffee this week! It made my day, and I passed it on, buying for the person behind me. Have a great week!
