Raves for Wednesday, October 16, 2013

The Valdosta Daily Times

VALDOSTA — Editor’s Note: In 2013, Wednesdays will be  rave-only days. Thank you to our readers for your support.

Ms. Janet with the Hahira  Library deserves a big rave. She is always congenial, helpful and accommodating to all of the patrons. I moved here from out of state a few years ago and she has made me feel like a friend. She is so helpful. I  enjoy going to that library.

Kudos to Texas Roadhouse for all you do in the community and for supporting Breast Cancer Awareness.

As a retired teacher, it was refreshing to see the group  from Highland Christian at Dairy Queen on Monday. They were very polite and respectful.

A big thanks to city yard waste truck  #2118 for their help for getting my yard waste to the truck. Thank you!

Kudos to the ladies at the motor vehicle office who helped me obtain a disabled parking sign for my mom. After repeated tries where my address came up as Cook County they were persistent and called Atlanta to get the correct county (Lowndes) on our record. We are very thankful to them for all they did.

A big rave to Cannon Tree Service. We had them do some pretty extensive pruning and removal work on three trees Friday and they were great. When they left, you would have never known we had as much cutting and grinding done as our lawn was as neat and clean as it was before they arrived. Many thanks to Dale and the crew.

Rave to the Starbuck's morning crew. They are always friendly and smiling (even though they are up so early in the morning!). Their multi-tasking skills always amaze as well. Keep up the good work.

Congratulations to Open Bible Christian School's Varsity Soccer team for winning the 2013 Region Title and the 2013 State Championship on Friday.

A big thank you to the young boy at the Winnersville  game who found my husband’s cell phone and  answered our call to come back to the stadium to retrieve the phone. Thank you, God, and bless him for being so young and honest.  There are still good people in the world.

My heart felt thanks to the kind gentleman who paid for my meal  on Sunday at Mama June’s. It was a complete surprise and I plan to pay it forward. God bless you and your  family.
