How long is it going to take AT&T telephone and/or Mediacom cable to do something about the vines and bushes growing over the cable lines at Mt. Zion Church Road and Academy Acres. The lines are pulled down where a 6 foot person can touch them. We won’t have any cable service or phone service if something is not done about this pretty soon.
A pastor does not own a church. It is a job. Just like his wife has a job, he has a job. They don’t own a church.
Whoever took the casserole dish with a lid, and the clear dish with a blue top from J.E. Fender’s home, will you please return it, no questions asked. It goes to a set and I would appreciate it to have it back.
To the person complaining about the Hawaii band trip. It’s optional. I am a single parent of three. This is the only chance my child would be able to go. The band offers chances to "earn" the money plus and excessive time to make payments. If you can’t afford it then your child doesn’t have to go. But allow the child to earn as much money as they can to relieve some of the burden from you.
It is time the city council gets another cable company to enter. Mediacom raises its prices monthly and when asked they said they had an audit and were not charging enough taxes. Then we were told after all it is entertainment. So be it but competition is needed!
Why are the Cook County bus drivers taking the buses home for the summer? This should be the time that they are serviced and all of the maintenance done. I have met more than one bus with either a headlight out or one of the caution or red lights, that are supposed to flash, out. The bus is not a personal vehicle for you to go grocery shopping on Saturday or Sunday. I know how fickle bus drivers are. I admire you for the job you do and I surely wouldn't want to do your job, but don't abuse the system.
So where is our fearless leader when it comes to this terrible devastation in Oklahoma? Please do not feed the survivors with false hope and false sense of security. You should have already been on your way or maybe this doesn't fit your agenda.
How can the county give away my right to choose a garbage pick-up service? I wasn't a county pickup customer, so they did not own my contract, or have a right to choose which company I use. I am very happy with Deep South Sanitation, and will help them fight this monopoly. Hopefully, we are not losing the right to free trade in Lowndes County.
