Raves for Wednesday, June 26, 2013

The Valdosta Daily Times

VALDOSTA — Editor’s Note: In 2013, Wednesdays will be  rave-only days. Thank you to our readers for your support.

Professor Charles C. Hall, former principal of Magnolia Elementary, Pinevale High and Southeast Elementary School. Your honesty, dedication, love, and support for your students will never be forgotten.

At Save A Lot on Wednesday, I left my purse in a grocery cart outside of the store. A young lady with a baby came along and used that same cart and carried it inside of the store and gave it to a cashier who gave it to the the manager. The manager returned my purse.  Thank God for honest people and all who were involved.

Rave for Daniel, produce  guy at Winn Dixie on Madison Highway. He was very helpful and  provided excellent service. If you need produce, go see Daniel.

May your troubles be less, your blessings be more. Nothing but happiness come through your door. Be more concerned with what God thinks about you, than what people think about you.

There are not enough thank yous for our service men and women. They are very brave and our heroes. If not for them, our country would not be. Thank you all and God keep you safe and well.

A very big thank you to the brave volunteers from our Lowndes County Fire Department who left their Memorial Day activities with their loved ones to respond to an apartment fire in Lake Park. Your swift action and bravery saved the building and kept three other families from losing their homes and personal belongings. Again thank you for your bravery and quick response.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if Oprah would put Paula Deen's program on OWN! What a statement that would make. I don't live in my past anymore.

There is already a low-cost spay/neuter clinic in Lake Park run by Dr. Alba Sosa. Her staff is also pleasant and informative to the clients. Check them out!

Praise Roy Taylor at Jungle Jyms for doing such a great job. I love the new management of the new place. I look for future things to happen. Keep up the good work.

SGMC needs more doctors like Dr. Simon Adamas. I had to go to the hospital Saturday and he was the doctor on call. He was great, compassionate and genuinely concerned. I have never seen any ER doctor who really cared until then. Thank you, Dr. Adamas!
