The Valdosta Daily Times
I am a student at Valdosta State University, I pay thousands of dollars in tuition, but I am not allowed to use the Student Recreation Center because I am not taking summer classes. I was told that I have to pay $45 to use the Rec Center during the summer. As if I don't pay enough already... Utterly ridiculous.
I don't use Deep South, but if others want to, they should be able to choose. This is the same way they do in communist countries, no freedom of choice.
Will the Times please research and find out who are the REAL owners and partners in the Advance Disposal? There is underhanded connections that should be brought forward.
How about instead of complaining about people on welfare and food stamps, just be grateful that you aren't? Be grateful that you don't have to be humiliated and judged by a bunch of hateful people who've never been in an unfortunate financial situation. That's what I do.
It used to be a rule that those who don't work, don't eat. I miss that kind of mentality!
To the smokers of Valdosta, please do me a favor and don't come sit on the benches at VMS and smoke your cigarette while I am trying to exercise. Have some courtesy and go smoke in your car away from the people who are trying to stay healthy!
While I don't agree with sending someone out of state for training; however...defintely need to leave Valdosta for "fresh" ideas!
I'm a married college student who works in a restaurant. My wife and I have cheap phones. On months when our paychecks aren't high, we stock up on ramen. I'm saddened that my hard earned money is being given to someone who actually thinks he is justified to have an Iphone and still take from the government.
I would think that a one time payment of $400 would still be cheaper than paying out the rest of your bill term. Think of how much food you could buy with that extra money!
There are some people that actually need food stamps. There are quite a few who don't. That is MY money you are spending on groceries to put in the back of your Cadillac Escalade.
If you are overweight, eat what you want. You are an adult. If your child is overweight - even obese - you should be ashamed to bring them to an "All You Can Eat" buffet. You are neglectful parents. No... abusive..
