Why on earth is the City of Valdosta paying for someone to go out of state for training?
I have an aunt that we only hear from when she is in need of money or has a health scare of her own. She never acknowledges health issues of other family members and even more disturbing, she never acknowledges any good news other family members have to share. Always looking for the negative must make for a miserable life!
As much as safety is important to every driver, I think that a police officer and the department should give out driver's safety sheets also along with the tickets that are given to train and educate the driver as to what he/she is actually doing wrong. And have them turned in with payment and a passing grade.
Family members need to embrace the exciting news that others receive such as an upcoming marriage or birth of a grandchild. Quit wallowing in your own sorrow and be happy for others. Life is too short to have such a miserable attitude. Your lack of acknowledgment says it all — you are jealous!
I was recently approached by an angry lady in Walmart. She began to chew me out because I used a food stamps card and had an iPhone. I calmly explained to her that I used to have a great job where I could afford this phone then I was let go because of budget cuts. She said then you shouldn't have such an expensive phone if you can't afford it. Then I explained that if I tried to cut my phone off, I would get charged $200 per phone line which would include mine and my wife's phone instead of just paying my $110 dollar bill a month. I said I don't want to be on food stamps but I do what I have to take care of my family.
