Raves for Wednesday, August 14, 2013

The Valdosta Daily Times

VALDOSTA — Thank you to the young lady that paid for my 95-year-old mother’s groceries last week at Save-A-Lot. You brightened her day!

Thank you to W. G. Nunn for having their open house at night when parents can attend. I am looking forward to working with the teachers and new principal.

Thank you so very much to the person in a black Mercedes who bought our breakfast at Zacadoo’s. It was a lovely thing to do and we will pay it forward. Thank you!

Thank you to Teresa Cason for your kind words for the Valdosta State Prison staff in a recent “Letter to the Editor.” It is not often we are recognized for doing this job. Your gesture was not unnoticed.

A big rave to Smith Northview Hospital. I have been out there twice and the surgical unit has been so nice. They even call you the next day to see how you are doing and even send you a card. I rave for Smith Northview Hospital.

A big rave to Dr. Zeigler and staff at SGMC. I had to have emergency surgery and they all treated me very kindly. Thank you very, very much. You all did a great job!

A big God bless to the three young men who helped push my vehicle out of the intersection of Gornto and Baytree road on Monday during rush hour traffic. I will pay it forward. Thank you very much.

I want everybody to know I bought some great local honey called Honey Bell Farms from Mama June’s. It has really helped with my allergies. Thanks to Honey Bell Farms for putting local honey back in the market for this area.

We decided on short notice to have Fazoli's cater a lunch for eight employees. The order taking, preparation and pick-up were flawless. The general manager has a wonderful and competent staff and we want to thank him for the great food and great service. We will definitely use Fazoli's again!

A big rave to Mrs. Sharon at Dewar Elementary. On the first day of school, the office was packed and she kept her smile the entire time and was so sweet and helpful. She always interacts with my children and they love to see her. She is always so friendly. She is always willing to go the extra mile to help someone when they need it.

Thanks to the Valdosta Traffic Management Department for adjusting the traffic light at Ulmer Avenue and South Patterson.
