Rant & Rave for Friday, Jan. 17, 2014

The Valdosta Daily Times

VALDOSTA — Sure Valdosta and/or Lowndes County, start up your own cable company. Then the Rant and Rave can fill up with people complaining of increased taxes, missing the same channels, and a bill that is the same amount. Only difference is higher taxes.

A HUGE rave to the staff at Dr. Robinson's Dental Office in Hahira. After many bad experiences with dentists in the Valdosta area, it is so refreshing to go somewhere with a friendly staff and knowledgeable doctor. Special shout out to Stacey, thank you for restoring my faith in the dental profession!

The situation in New Jersey is a perfect example of what's wrong with our government where the citizens are being punished for their voting decisions. It doesn't matter who's in charge. If you vote for the wrong person, you will be crippled.

I went to the ER at SGMC this week, and they only had one doctor and six nurses in the whole ER! How are they supposed to take care of sick people like that!

Before you complain to the paramedics for why they drove past your house, why don't you be sure to put up address markers that are visible from the road during the day and night.

Thanks to Diamond Realty for their opening concerns of renting of apartments to the students. We have had a long problem with it. They asked us to call any time we had a problem.

Someone needs to check the school zone flashing light at Valdosta Middle School. They do not correspond with the signs. Either the signs need to be changed or the lights schedule needs to be changed to correspond with the proper time.   It is  confusing and unsafe.

It is so sad we in south Georgia cannot get the Atlanta news. We would like to know what is going on at the capitol in our state and not in Tallahassee. We need help with this.

Mr. Jones, bus driver for Lowndes County school bus for Loch Laurel Road, we will miss you so much. You were such a sweet, wonderful driver.

Sears Automotive mechanics: they were wonderful. They worked on my car and let me know what was going on. They  were super nice.
