VALDOSTA — People need to quit judging people and look at themselves. That’s all you need to worry about.

I am seeing couches, love seats and other furniture sitting on the side of the road in Lowndes County much more frequently in the past few months. Who do we thank for this?
Valdosta is one of the most expensive places to live in Georgia and one of the poorest places to live in the nation. Perhaps it’s time for a change in local leadership.
Punishing someone for using an inappropriate racial term in the past does not allow for a person to change. How many popular movies concerning race have featured this theme? “Red Tails,” “In the Heat of the Night,” “Men of Honor,” “The Defiant Ones,” “The Dirty Dozen,” etc. We, as a society, should encourage change and progress, not punish it.
Does Lake Park have a city marshal, and is there an ordinance regarding poorly kept houses and yards? Something needs to be done. These places are degrading to other property owners. I thought at one time there was going to be some type of clean up for these areas.
Let’s see, the party that introduced legislation in 1999 to repeal the Depression-era Glass-Steagall banking act, which then led to this worldwide recession, still believe that illegal vegetable pickers working 14 hours a day caused the worldwide recession?
First the mill owners promised a restored mill, then to at least make a nice park around the water tower and smokestack. Now they plan to leave just the tower and only “for the time being.” Empty promises are all we will be left with when it’s done.
Are the mill owners ever going to actually clean up the property or just strip it of all valuables to sell and let it sit again?
