Raves for Wednesday, May 29, 2013

The Valdosta Daily Times

VALDOSTA — Editor’s Note: In 2013, Wednesdays will be  rave-only days. Thank you to our readers for your support.

A great big thank you to all the ladies who planned, prepared and served the food at the honors program at Berrien Middle School tennis team. It was an awesome evening. Thank you very much!

Brooks County has a great building inspector, Mr. Billy Ingram. He is professional, courteous, and daily dependable on the job. A big rave for him.

A great big rave at Monica at the gas pumps at Sam’s Club and Michael who works in the tire shop who gave services above and beyond their duties to help me when one of my kittens jumped out from under my truck. He rode under the truck from  Lake Park without me knowing. They assisted me greatly. Sam’s Club is lucky to have both of them.

Many thanks to the gentleman who paid for my breakfast at Waffle House at Five Points Tuesday morning. You made my day and prove  there are angels here. God bless you and I will pay it forward.

This is a great big thank you to Papa John’s in Valdosta for the kindness shown to our students in special education at Valdosta High School. They went above and beyond to serve our students and provide them with a great experience. Thank you!

Many thanks to EMTs Courtney and Russell for their kind bedside manner and helpfulness when I was feeling pretty silly for calling 911. It is sometimes difficult to know what action to take when confronted with something painful or unusual, and they assured me that I had done the correct thing. I tried to remain calm and cooperative and their demeanor and respect made it so much easier.

Just want to thank EMC for having Karen in the warehouse. Everytime I need electric run to one of my houses she is on top of it and always has a great attitude.

A big thank you to Ms. Denton at Brooks County Schools! She was very helpful and patient with me when I contacted the school about information I needed. Although it was not in her department, she made sure to direct me to the correct person and was very helpful.

I want to send out a huge thank you to Jim, the manager at the Valdosta Cinemas. He arranged a private showing of Star Trek Into Darkness for me. I am dealing with cancer and have been given two months to live. Jim has a heart of gold.
