VALDOSTA — To the person who said Dianne Feinstein said all vets are mentally ill, you are absolutely false. I would encourage you to check the committee meeting minutes from which this reference came before making such egregious accusations.
Make it to church on time, no excuses?! That’s exactly why those who don’t attend church think all Christians are judgmental and hypocritical. How about you welcome them, say you’re glad to see them, hope everything is OK. Maybe they had a sick family member, maybe they had car problems, maybe it was just a bad morning. Come to my church; we’ll welcome you, even if you make the last five minutes.
I wholeheartedly disagree. I’m a reader who submits raves often for wonderful people, services, and experiences in our community. I go out of my way to ask people for their name so that I can recognize them for their great service and attitude in our paper. It’s always neat to see the person later with a cut-out of the article in their area. It gives them a sense of pride that they don’t often get in this mean, cruel, hateful world of ours.
For those who are against the carry permits, perhaps you would be happier in Chicago, where there is a ban, on guns, ammo, etc. Of course they have the highest murder rate in the U.S.A., as do other places that ban guns. It is places where guns are carried that have the lowest rates of violent crime!
Thank you, Rolla Henderson, for your article in Sunday’s Times about the decline of our great country. Your thoughts are right on, I’m sad to say.
Thank you South Georgia Medical Center for holding a free skin cancer screening at the SGMC Berrien Hospital. It was very appreciated and all the ladies were super nice who worked it. Thank you, SGMC and Dr. Cole!
