VALDOSTA — I don’t think most parents teach their children about the consequences of improper actions. In fact, there rarely are consequences for children. Most parents are lazy when it comes to raising their children properly. I constantly see mothers and daughters shopping, with the girl wearing tight shorts for example. Do you ever examine how you raise your children?
I am upset and furious — who ... at VSU that has decided to no longer hold a summer graduation ceremony? I have a son and daughter-in-law both of whom have not only worked full-time jobs — have a family to raise and have attended VSU who will graduate Aug. 2, 2014 — with no public recognition. This is a shame!
If you are tired of the way things are going in Valdosta, Lowndes County, the state of Georgia and our country as a whole, then do not re-elect anyone!
What is the point of the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office having an officer sit in his vehicle in front of Valwood School if he won’t get out and direct traffic? Cars are completely unable to exit the campus, and the officer just sits and watches. Are we seriously paying you for that?
Making fun of those who wish to carry a firearm (i.e. zombie apocalypse, tax collector) only shows you don’t understand the real purpose. I wish news agencies would report the hundreds of times a firearm is used to defend instead of the times they are misused. Want to change my mind? Use facts, which you don’t have.
When these local politicians and Governor Deal tout this “Georgia is number one” in business, keep in mind that $134,000 of your tax dollars paid for ads in the magazine making that claim. Deal bought the endorsement.
Thank you to Chase who works at Subway on North Ashley Street. You knew my grandson had been sick. And when I walked in the door right off on Saturday, you asked how was he doing. You made me feel special. Thanks!
