Raves for Wednesday, April 3, 2013

The Valdosta Daily Times

VALDOSTA — Editor’s Note: In 2013, Wednesdays will be rave-only days. Thank you to our readers for your support.

I would like to give a big rave to Mama June’s for hiring such a polite and respectful young lady named Maria. My husband and I are seniors and we have been going to Mama June’s since it opened. You don't find many young people so nice. Keep up the good work.

I must send a rave for Advanced Disposal. We have had impeccable service, on time and neatly done.

A big rave to Crossing Jordan Baptist Church for hosting First Christian Church on the Wednesday evening of Holy Week. Wow! Your opening songs moved us literally and figuratively! I just hope we can return the hospitality and host your choir and Dr. Mathis at First Christian.

A big rave and thanks to VSU and the professors for their excellent Science Saturday programs. My son has enjoyed all of them and looks forward to each new one.

I would like to thank the honest staff at Publix on Gornto Road. While walking through Publix with my two kids and grandmother, my $10 fell out of my pocket and I did not realize until I was at the next store. When I returned, I was told an employee had turned in $10 that was found on the floor. I really appreciate everyone’s honesty and integrity. Thank you to the staff at Publix!

Huge rave to the super friendly staff at the new Publix on Inner Perimeter. They have done a fabulous job making me feel welcome when I'm in the store, from the baggers to the cashiers to the managers. Thank you!

I, too, give a rave to Deep South. I started using them when the owner came to my door to introduce himself and offer his services. This is a wonderful family operation. Keep up the good work!

A big rave to the quartet from Valdosta High. I went to their website and watched them. They are fantastic. They should make it a living.

Shout out to LHS FCCLA. You did great in your state competition. Thank you Valdosta Daily Times for printing it in the paper because it sure won't be on the school website because it is not sports related.

A big thank you to Ofc. Travis Jordan with the Valdosta Police Dept. for his compassion and concern regarding dogs that are chained and have no shelter with no means of water.
