Raves for Wednesday, December 18, 2013

The Valdosta Daily Times

VALDOSTA — I would like to rave to the wonderful Dasher Church of Christ Youth group for coming and singing Christmas carols at our nursing home on Sunday. You all did a wonderful job. And a big shout out to the young fella that was Santa, and to Catherine and Meredith, y’all have the voices of an angel.

The family in Madison that does the light show has really put on a great show this year. It gets better each year. I have been the last three years and my kids love it. Thank you for doing this each year.

Was reading the rant and rave the other day and saw the comment about a light show in Madison. Went Thursday night and what a show. Put up a donation box so we can help with the electric bill. Wife and I are thinking about doing one of these shows. Can someone tell us how to get in touch with this family and see how they did it? WOW!

To the lady that bought my breakfast at Zacadoos this am 12/11/13, thank you very much, you made my day! Merry Christmas!

Thank you LCSO for catching the thief in the Bemiss/Studstill Road area. I noticed the increased patrols and it has paid off!

Rave to all the people who took time out on a busy time of the year on Berkley Drive who stopped to help me when I fell in the middle of the street. I am sorry I did not get any of your names. It was over overwhelming to see the people who cared. Thank you!

Thank you to the Valwood football boys who are ringing the bells for the Salvation Army. That is a wonderful example for the young people and adults in our community. We are proud of you. That is a wonderful service for our community.  Merry Christmas!

To the person who found my credit card in the parking lot of the Dollar Tree on Norman Drive: I can only hope you receive the joy and peace-of-mind that you unselfishly gave me. I will pay it forward!

My mother had a painter to paint her kitchen and bathroom. She is 75 years old and is on a fixed income. Ruben bought the paint and did not charge her one thing.  He is in our prayers. Thanks again, Ruben. We love you.

A big thank you to Journey Church. This weekend was a busy weekend and they took time to bake cookies and bring them to SGMC with lots of holiday cheer. Thank you from the 5th Floor Tower for coming by to give us holiday cheer and blessings. Thanks again.
