The Valdosta Daily Times
Valdosta truly has small town spirit and supports all its local sports teams, but I feel that two teams are being left out. Valdosta will be represented by two competitive swim teams in the Georgia state swim meet in two weeks in Augusta; the Stone Creek team and the YMCA team. Let’s show our support for these dedicated athletes Valdosta.
With housing prices continuously falling, does that mean our property insurance will go down as well?
Thanks to the Lowndes, Valdosta, and VSU band programs along with Jacksonville's Teal Sound Drum and Bugle Corps for putting on a great show. Those of you who stayed home missed out on an entertaining and educational event. I hope we can do it again next year.
Crime is up because people are hurting and have no where to turn. No, it’s not an excuse, because we are supposed to live in the richest country in the world. Thank you Jenna Bealand for standing up for mothers on the cell phone policy. Most of the men on that board are clueless about what we mothers have to do to run a household these days. As it is, the policy is too harsh. Take away their privileges for a month the first time.
There is a reason that children have cell phones at school. We parents want them to have them. Seeing that we pay the bills over there, shouldn't our views count for something?
The cell phone policy was put in place after parents demanded that it be put there following all the school shooting tragedies. When the gang war finally goes down at school, I want to be able to get in touch with my child.
