VALDOSTA — South Georgians have numerous options of activities this weekend.

There’s Rodeo Lake Park running Friday and Saturday evenings at Raisin’ Cane. Horses, cattle, cowboys and numerous other activities have organizers hoping to attract a stampede of community participation.

Park Avenue United Methodist Church presents its annual Easter program, “The Promise,” starting this weekend and into next week. This year, the church tells the greatest story ever told from the perspective of the jailed disciple Peter’s memories.

Valdosta State University’s Society of International Students hosts its 38th Annual International Dinner this Saturday evening. Here, Valdosta residents can share in the culinary and cultural delights of other nations’ students who attend VSU.

Folks wanting to improve their homes and yards can learn a great deal and find numerous opportunities Saturday and Sunday during the Home Builders Association of South Georgia’s Home, Hobby & Outdoors Show at the James H. Rainwater Conference Center.

On Friday evening, the American Legion Post 13 hosts Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day.

Meanwhile, Valdosta State University Theatre & Dance presents the musical “Evita,” Gingerbread Players of Theatre Guild Valdosta presents “Charlotte’s Web,” and Valdosta High School Drama presents “Nunsense.”
