THUMBS UP: To all of the area organizations, churches, clubs, businesses and individuals helping local students return to school with plenty or materials for the classroom. In years past, it seemed there were only a couple such events. Now, there are numerous back-to-school giveaways for students who may not otherwise have pencils, papers and other items.
THUMBS UP: To the Cook County Airport for its new terminal. With the terminal complete, the Cook County Airport Authority can begin the second phase of changes which includes increased parking, two fuel farms, etc.
