Hooray for Hollywood

The Valdosta Daily Times

-- — If you need an idea for a great Valentine’s day date night out with your loved one, look no farther than the Turner Center for the Arts Presenter Series performance Thursday night, “Hooray for Hollywood.”

Featuring a six piece band, more than a dozen singers and dancers, and terrific music from the last 50 years of Hollywood, the show is sure to be a festive event and a wonderful way to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

The Presenter Series is just one of many programs and events that the Turner Center sponsors annually for the community, bringing world class entertainment to Valdosta.

National touring shows and Broadway hits are featured each year and you have to go no farther than Mathis Auditorium to see them at a fraction of what it would cost in larger cities.

Hooray for Hollywood is one of those musical extravaganzas that will delight audiences of all ages. The show will feature clips from movies along with performances of the famous song and dance numbers from the Hollywood hits, with favorites from everything from Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” and “The Jungle Book” to “All that Jazz” and “Dirty Dancing.”

Tickets for the show are available at the Arts Center. Support the Center and enjoy an evening out for Valentine’s Day.
