Saddle up for rodeo

VALDOSTA — This weekend, the Berrien County Chamber of Commerce, the Nashville-Berrien Rotary Club, and Harveys Supermarkets present the Fourth Annual Cotton Blossom Roundup professional rodeo.

Audiences can see professional cowboys and cowgirls riding bareback, bronco riding, calf tie-downs, lassoing, wrestling steers, as well as barrel racing and bull riding.

Sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association, the rodeo provides an opportunity for kids of all ages to watch a real rodeo. It also provides an opportunity for some local competition.

The Cotton Blossom Roundup reveals an event that seems to touch upon the great traditions of an American past while proving these tradition remain alive and well in the 21st century.
