The Valdosta Daily Times
I own two small businesses in Lowndes County. Who will bail me out if I run my business like the greedy big boys?
To the man who paid for my wife and children's dinner at Zaxby's, thank you. I passed it on as well.
I break the whole mortgage crisis down to one problem in America, political correctness. In 1998, the government lowered the requirements for home mortgages so that people living close to the poverty line could buy homes. They ordered banks to write politically correct, instead of financially correct, loans. How is this all the banks' fault again?
I also agree that the government has too much control over the schools, but who is the largest lobbying group in Washington? It's not big tobacco, oil, or the NRA. It's the National Education Association and that makes them a part of the problem.

My wife and I went to First Friday in September and had an amazing time. We were pleasantly surprised at the mix of people getting along. It was great. We were disappointed when we went back last week. To whoever made the rule changes — Thanks a lot for nothing.
As a resident of Hahira, I was extremely pleased to see so many people from around South Georgia and North Florida that came to visit us for the Honey Bee Festival. Speaking for myself, I favor the growth of our community, despite what some of our narrow-minded elected officials think. To business owners around the area: come and see what we have to offer. I think you will be pleased.
Foreclosures have a way of rotting neighborhoods like cavities, from the inside out.
