Rant & Rave for Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008
We spent the last two weeks watching the communists in China put on a fabricated show, and now we get to spend this week watching the socialists meeting in Denver do the same thing.
If I wanted to live in a dirt bike park, I would have gotten a tent at the X-games. Save the dirt bike for motocross. It doesn't belong in a neighborhood. The way you are driving, you or somebody else is going to get hurt, and everyone is going to continue to be annoyed by the obnoxious sound.
Hats off to those city and county employees that worked tirelessly during Fay’s presence. Your efforts are not unnoticed.
CBS college sports would have been there for a UGA or Gator game no matter what the weather. Their lack of concern to make it for the broadcast of Saturday's game is proof that our TitleTown title means nothing to anyone besides us.
Thanks to the guys at Colquitt EMC for working all night to get our power turned back on. Most people try to stay indoors when the weather is so bad, and we appreciate you for going out in it to keep our families comfortable. We don't thank you enough.
Dang, I was hoping Tropical Storm Fay would blow down all of the useless traffic lights around town.
I went to see ‘Sordid Lives,’ and I am very glad Valdosta is ready for such a production. It is very funny, well directed and cast. There is nothing in the play that I found offensive. Language and content is in keeping with prime-time television. Thank you, Theatre Guild Valdosta for broadening our cultural horizons.
Why is it everytime we have wind or rain, the power from Colquitt EMC on Highway 133 goes out? What will happen if a real storm came through? Georgia Power does not have this problem. What gives?
