OK how about let's stop playing the blame game and all come together and work to get gas prices lower so we all can afford it. Right now I am not a Republican or Democrat, I am just fed up.
To the member of the 823rd upset about the lack of a homecoming, welcome home and thanks for your service. I'm sure there are many others like myself that would have gladly been out to welcome you home had we known when you were coming back. I'm sorry.
Yes, I'll burn my paper trash. The county has already made the decision; the hearings are just a formality.
Was the community alerted that the 823rd was returning?
For those of you who missed the beauty pageant Friday at the Relay for Life, you really missed something. LuElla Knowles stole the show. Her style, grace, and talent were unmatched. Thanks to Chris Lilly and all the Lowe’s team members who came out to support a worthy cause.
With gas prices the way they are maybe more people will start riding bikes. Hopefully then the city will see a need for bike lanes.

The last thing I want is the government involved with the cost of gasoline. Let the market decide that. If you think gas is too high, start walking, ride a bike or purchase a horse.
Valdosta needs an overpass, shopping on the north part of town and higher wages.
There is nothing wrong with people begging for money on I-75. Times are tough, folks are losing their jobs, and many children are most likely going without supper. Quit complaining and be part of the solution.
Gynecologist assistants should stand beside the patient, not at the end with the doctor, unless he asks for it. It makes us very uncomfortable to go through this anyway, much less having a nosy onlooker. Standing to the side is all that is needed.
To the letter writer who feels "whites" say Obama is not educated enough to be president, I think it is not his education but his lack of experience that is being questioned by whites as well as many others. And remember that the person who has done the most damage to his chances is a black man, his minister ...Not a white man.
Valdosta/Lowndes County, let’s make this title town. Go to ESPN Title Town and post videos and essays on why we should be picked Title Town.
