-- — Mr. Robert L. Miller, Jr. passed from this life on Nov. 13, 2012 at the age of 63. He resided in Fontana, Ca. Robert was the first born to the parents of the late Helen and Robert Miller Sr. on July 5, 1949 in Brooks County. Robert was educated in the Valdosta City Schools System and went on to join the Job Corps in New York. He enlisted in the military and retired after serving over 20 years in the United States Air Force. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War.

Robert married Millie Marie Jones of Sparks on July 31, 1971 and they were blessed with 40 years of marriage. During his military career they traveled to many states and foreign countries during his service to his country.

Robert was “different” he was kind hearted, humble and very giving. He loved his family and he loved his God. Robert accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. In his expiration he leaves many fond memories of those who loved him, he will surely be missed by all.  

He leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife, Millie Marie Miller, Fontana, Ca., three devoted daughters Jackquline Miller (Daryl) Johnson, Macon, Georgia, Colly Evitt Miller, Fontana, Ca., Regina Williams, Cincinnati, Ohio, three sisters, Helen(Larry) Baker, Velma Davis, Stephanie Corbett (Henry) of Valdosta, three brothers Napoleon (Deloise) Miller, Valdosta, Alfred (Michelle) Miller, Grayson, Georgia and Alphonzo (Victoria) Miller, Lawrenceville, Georgia. Eight grandchildren, Miki Miller, Shynece Miller, Rashard Miller, Deion Johnson, Javon Johnson, Devin Miller, Jalen Ford and Tonie Ford. One great-grandchild Jayden Montfort, seventeen nieces and nephews, two uncles Richard ( Ethel) Hatcher, Avon Park, Fla. and Solomon McCall, Birmingham, Ala. Mother-in-law Lou Jones of Atlanta and sister-in-law MaryAnn (Charles) Hamilton, Tampa Fla., best friends Grover and Lois Collins of Fontana, Ca. and a host of other loving and devoted cousins, several grand nieces and nephews and other loving sorrowing relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held Monday, Nov. 26, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Grace Fellowship SDA Church. Rev. Taylor pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Salem Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Barney. Final rite entrusted to Scott And Roberts Mortuary. — Scott and Roberts Mortuary
