Hazel Felts Tucker

VALDOSTA — Mrs. Hazel Felts Tucker, 98, of Adel, Georgia, passed away Monday October 21, 2013 at The Rachel House in Sparks, Georgia.  She was born November 10, 1914 in Gray, Georgia to the late James Henry “Jim” Felts and Minnie Lee Watts Felts.  She was a member of Antioch United Methodist Church and a homemaker that loved the Lord and her family.  She also enjoyed her flowers and fishing. She was the widow of Mr. Charlie D. Tucker.

Mrs. Tucker is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Barbara Tucker of Hahira, Georgia; three daughters and sons-in-law: Mildred Wood of Adel, Georgia, Ouida and Mark Akin of Palm Coast, Florida, and Donna and Paul Kirkland of Adel, Georgia; grandchildren: Bill and Kathy Wood of Adel, Georgia, Tommy and Lisa Wood of Tifton, Georgia, Angela Johnston of Charlotte, North Carolina, Tara and Jeff Gatlin of St. Augustine, Florida, Stephanie and Jason Boykin of Adel, Georgia, Kristy and Fred Dean of Valdosta, Georgia, Brian Tucker of Las Vegas, Nevada, Susanne Tucker of Duluth, Georgia, Allison Tucker of Atlanta, Georgia, and Lauren and Andrew McCrary of Durham, North Carolina; great-grandchildren: Wil, Patrick, Tucker and Leah Wood, Alexa and Peyton Gatlin, Jaycey and Noah Boykin, Luke McCrary, and Kalli Rae Dean.  In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Tucker was preceded in death by two brothers: Jimmy and Lewis Felts; and three sisters: Mary Ray, Christine Rowan, and Lucille Wright.  

The Tucker Family will receive friends Tuesday evening October 22, 2013 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave. in Adel, Georgia.  

The funeral service will take place Wednesday October 23, 2013 at 11 am at Antioch United Methodist Church, 4564 Antioch Road, Adel, Georgia, with Rev. Randy Mosley, Rev. Jason Dickerson, and Mr. Brian Tucker officiating.  Interment will follow at Woodlawn City Cemetery in Adel.  Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.boonefunerals.com.
