Florence (Peggy) Lanier Hinson

-- — Florence (Peggy) Lanier Hinson, 76 died Friday, Sept. 13, 2013 in the Hospice of South Georgia. She was born in Madison, Fla. to the late Pinkney Kirkland Lanier, Jr. and Gwendolyn Coffee.  

A celebration of life service will be held Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013 at 3 p.m. at the Madison Church of God.  

Mrs. Hinson moved back to Madison, Fla. in the 1980's from Rock Hill, S.C.. She was a Christian and member of the Madison Church of God.  She had a great sense of humor and was known to be mischievous. She was very involved with the ladies of the church and church activities. She was a member of the Women's Club, past president of the Garden Club and Vice President of the Madison County Historical Society. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and was an avid Gator fan!

Mrs. Hinson is survived by two sons, Chris Hinson (Sherie) of Tallahassee, Fla. and Barry and Tammy Hinson of Madison, Fla.; four grandchildren, Amanda and Chad Gillean of Lovett, C.J. Hinson, Bryan Hinson, Jenna Hinson all of Lee; two great-grandchildren, Mason Good and Presley Kate Gillean; and one Sister; Gene (Ed) Lanier Bristol of Oakland New Jersey.

In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband Curtis J. Hinson and one brother Kirk Lanier.
