James Randolph “Randy” Rigsby Sr., 88, of the Pebble City Community, died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, at his home.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, at Pebble City Baptist Church with the Rev. Glenn Hobby officiating. Interment will follow in Pebble City Baptist Church Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Chris Butler, Lewis Perkins, Clint Perkins, Heath Perkins, Sam Warren, Jay Warren, Ray Dixon III, James Rigsby, Taylor Rigsby.
Born Sept. 27, 1925, in Camilla, he was the son of the late A.T. Rigsby Sr. and Bess Faircloth Rigsby. He was a retired farmer and cattleman and was a member of Pebble City Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, A.T. Rigsby Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth King Rigsby of Camilla; four daughters, Elizabeth Butler and Sue Ellen Warren, both of Valdosta, Ann Perkins and husband Dana of Winder and Emily Donnelly and husband Glenn of Camilla; three sons, James Randolph Rigsby Jr. of Camilla, Tim Rigsby of Pelham and Scott Rigsby of Atlanta; one brother, E.R. “Rudy” Rigsby and wife Dot of Albany; 14 grandchildren, Chris Butler and wife Heather, Heather Butler, Lewis Perkins and wife Angie, Clint Perkins and wife Brittany, Heath Perkins and wife Aly, Whitney Duvall and husband Jody, Sam Warren and wife Kristy, Jay Warren, Dr. Tara Dixon, Holli Davis, Ray Dixon III, James Randolph Rigsby III, Taylor Rigsby and Megan Rigsby; 13 great-grandchildren, Reaggan Perkins, Cody Perkins, Hunter Perkins, Emma Butler, Ella Grace Butler, Harrison Duvall, Grace Duvall, Annyson Warren, Vann Warren, Hope Davis, Mary Bennett Dixon, Ray Eugene “Bubba” Dixon IV and Rigsby Dixon; two nieces, Clair Adams and husband Miley and Deanie Campbell and husband Murray.
The family will receive friends at the residence, 6363 Pebble City Road, Camilla.
