Cornelius Rashawn Miller

-- — Cornelius Rashawn Miller was born August 8, 1990 to Margaret Price and Gerald Miller in Valdosta, Georgia.

He grew up in Berrien County and attended Berrien County public schools.  “Sean” as he was fondly called, was a proud member of the Berrien High School Class of 2008.  His classmates will tell you that Sean was always the life of the party. His family will tell you that he was full of life and a full-time jokester.  Sean would tell you that he was confident, smart, good-looking, and sure that “this was his world and we’re just living in it.”  Today, life is saying to his many family and friends, remember: “Not how he died, but how did he live?  Not what did he gain, but what did he give?  These are the units to measure the worth of a man as a man, regardless of birth.  Not what was his church, nor what was his creed?  But had he befriended those really in need?  Was he ever ready with word of good cheer, to bring back a smile, to banish a tear?”  May you remember, Sean: Lived, Laughed and Loved.

Sean made his life ending transition, Saturday, March 15, 2014.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents: David Miller, Rosa Price and Irene Price; and two uncles: Harold Wright and Lynnwood Wade.

Sean leaves to cherish his memories his loving parents: Margaret Price and Gerald Miller of Ray City, GA; his precious baby boy: King Isiah Miller of Ray City, GA; two devoted brothers: Gerren Miller of Valdosta, GA and Kristopher McKinnon-Miller of Tifton, GA; one grandmother: Margie Miller of Lakeland, GA; a host of aunts and uncles: Ilene Wade, Minnie Hall (Jasper), Tommie Wright, Mike Locklear, David Miller, Jr. (Maxine), John Locklear (Sharon), Erlish Locklear (Martha Ann), Kenny Locklear (Shirley), Terrance Miller (Evelyn), Cynthia Davis (Johnny), Betty Jean Jones, March Miller (Lois), Julian Miller (Pat), Ethel Clark, Andrea Freelove (Lloyd), Danny Echols (Aliza) and Dominique Pitts; his special uncle: Corey Miller (Evelina); special cousins: T.J. Miller, Angelica Dailey, Cedric Davis, Andrew Carnes, Bill Miller, Shanice Richardson, Shada Miller, Jamiah Miller and Brian Jones; special friend: Lona Sanford; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2014, at 11:00am, from the sanctuary of Southside Baptist Church, 529 U.S. Highway 221, Lakeland, GA.  Pastor Austin DeLoach, Jr. is pastor and Junior Bishop Freddie Camon will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Beaver Dam Cemetery, Pauline Avenue, Ray City, GA.  Public viewing will be today from 10:00am to 8:00pm at Godfrey Funeral Home.  Sympathy may be expressed by signing the online registry at  Personal and professional services are provided by Godfrey Funeral Home, LLC.
