Charles Arthur “Artie” Calhoun Jr., 43, of Hahira passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013, at his residence. He was born in Thomasville, Ga., on Dec. 3, 1969. Artie was a small engine mechanic and was a member of Gateway Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Yolanda Hall Calhoun; stepdaughter, Nicole Hall; son, Chase Calhoun, all of Hahira; parents, Charles and Trudy Calhoun of Brooks County; sister and brother-in-law, Misty Calhoun and Joey Jarvis of Ray City; nephew, Chad Calhoun of Brooks County; niece, Jessica Jarvis; great niece, Gracie Stone; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; mother-in-law, Karen Hall of Hahira; sister-in-law, Toyan Hall of Orlando; and grandmother-in-law, Frankie Hall of Hahira.
Funeral service will be held Friday, May 24, 2013, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Brother Joseph Benjamin officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
