Monique Miller Delk, 82, of Valdosta, died at her home on Friday, Jan. 24, 2014. Born in Louisville, Ky. on Sept. 13, 1931, “Mona” was the daughter of the late Bowling Dickenson Miller and Cerece Monique Walker Miller. She had made her home in Lowndes County most of her life, was a private duty Licensed Practical Nurse and was a member of Redland Baptist Church.
Survivors are her children, Marilyn Futch of Lake Park, David Delk of Valdosta, Danny (Lisa) Hagin of Jacksonville, Fla., Leonard Hagin of Polk City, Fla., Joey (Genevieve) Delk of Santa Rosa, Calif., Steve Delk of Valdosta; daughter-in-law, Gail Hagin of Ft. Worth, Texas; grandchildren, Elizabeth Delk of Valdosta, Michele Hagin Loper of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., Jamie Lee Hagin of Americus, Suzanne Davis of Moultrie, Ga., Eva Delk of Santa Rosa, Calif., Danyelle Hagin of Jacksonville, Fla., Tommy Dorch of Montgomery, Ala., George Futch of Valdosta, Chris Davis of Moultrie, Dan Hagin, Jeremy Hagin, all of Valdosta, John Hagin, Jr. of Americus, Stephen Hagin of Dallas, Texas, Eddie Hagin of Ft. Worth, Texas and Hunter Delk of Valdosta, and Derek Damon of Valdosta; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving are her siblings, Lyndal (Lavelle) Webb of Valdosta, Patricia (Comer) Duggan of Statesboro, Bo (Cherylen) Miller of Valdosta, Richard Miller of Valdosta. Mona is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Delk, sons, Jamie Hagin and David Hagin, and a brother, Mancel Miller.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Redland Baptist Church. The Rev. Jay Watkins and the Rev. Tommy Bussey will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
