Sharniese Jamelia Reynolds-Anderson

VALDOSTA — Ms. Sharniese Jamelia Reynolds-Anderson was born January 25, 1988 to Sandra J. Reynolds and Alvin L. Anderson, Sr.

She departed this life on Monday, June 3, 2013 at her home, 5007 North Oak Street Ext., in Valdosta, Georgia, after a long battle with cancer.

She was blessed to have completed and receive three college degrees: A graduate of Lowndes High School, she received an Associate of Arts, Bachelor of Business Administration in Management and Marketing from Valdosta State University.

She leaves to cherish her memories; her parents, Sandra J. Reynolds and Alvin L. Anderson, Sr.; Leetah, Ivan and Jashay Newsome, Gertha (Mimi) Allen, Barbara White; Aunt Debbie Reynolds and Estella (Nellie) Bembry of Valdosta, GA who took special care of her;  two sisters, Cassandra (Anthony) Troupe in Japan and Ashley Anderson of Jacksonville, AL; two brothers, Roger (Keeza) Anderson of Jacksonville, FL and Alvin Anderson, Jr. of Milton, FL;  two uncles; Michael Reynolds (Alice) of Quitman, GA and Wayne Walker of VA; three aunts, Gail Walker, Vanessa Rivers (Sam) and Barbara Anderson all of VA;  great aunt and uncles, Maxine Alexander (Jerry) of Quitman, GA; Lonnie Reynolds (Pamela), Richard Williams and Melvin Williams of Valdosta, GA, Major (Dank) Reynolds (Lenora) of Camden, NJ, L.C. Reynolds (Gwen) of Quitman, GA; Eugene (Aaron) Reynolds (Vernessa), Bobby Reynolds (Ann), Timothy (Tim) Reynolds all of Morven, GA; special cousins: Daphne Reynolds of Atlanta, GA, Tiffany Reynolds of West Palm Beach, FL, Angela Reynolds of Delaware, Natashia Shannon of Tampa, FL, Telia and Jasmine Alexander of Quitman, GA; several nieces and nephews and a host of classmates, friends and other family members.

Special thanks to The Pearlman Cancer Center at South Georgia Medical Center; Hospice of South Georgia; Shands Bone Marrow Treatment Center of Gainesville, FL and all the Doctors, Nurses and Staff for their support over the years.

For God has opened up the pearly gates to welcome another angel.  She will be welcomed with open arms by her Grandmother, Betty Newsome.  

Two angels together that will never be forgotten and live in our hearts forever.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Union Cathedral Church in Valdosta, GA with Bishop Wade McCrae, officiating.  Burial will follow in the Salem Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Friday, June 7, 2013 at the Stevens-McGhee Funeral Home Chapel between the hours of 1-9P.M.
