Darlene M. Robinson

-- — Born to live her Earthly life! Sept. 9, 1965. Called to everlasting life with the Lord July 24, 2013.

Lady “D” was confident and willing rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. She held forth the word of life; that she may rejoice in the day of Christ, that she have no run in vain, neither laboured in vain. — 2 Corinthians 5:8 / Philippians 2:16.

Elect Lady Darlene M. Robinson, age 47, was born on Sept. 9, 1965, to the late Laverne B. Oliver and Alfred Smith in Lowndes County, Valdosta, Ga. In addition to being a part of the proud class of 83/84 of Valdosta High School.

Elect Lady Darlene M. Robinson transitioned from labor to reward on Wednesday, July 24, 2013. She was preceded in death by her son, Isaac Emanuel, mother Laverne Oliver, two sisters, Loretta T. McCormic and Linda Bivins, and one brother, Ventress McCormick.

To lament her passing: Husband of 27 years, Pastor Bernard L Robinson; children, Loretta Breione, Bernard Leon Jr., Joshua Rayhod (Shaquitta), Ebony Danielle, Charity Gabrielle, and Furnessa Shet’ten; grandchild, Jayden I.B. Jelks, Je’Carous E.R. Young, Brooke, Zy, Temple, Atira, Michael and Tyrell; father, Alfred (Mary) Smith and stepfather Willis (Arlene); sisters, Laverne (Weldon) Neloms, Tonyour (Micharl Sr.) Alexander, Arnita Bines, Symanthia Stewart and Monica; brothers, Roosevelt “Bud” McCormic, Frederick (Dollene) Williams; special aunt Louise Taylor and a host of aunts and uncles from Valdosta, Homerville, Jacksonville and Miami, Fla.; special nieces and nephews Maria Gamble, Breionna Neloms, Shermain Neloms, Michael Jr.; and Kobe Alexander. in addition, a host of nieces, nephews and special friends.

We would like to give special thanks to Dr. Gerald Light, Dr. Urbounos and the Renal Care Staff (South Patterson Street), South Georgia Medical Center I.C.U. and Dialysis nurses. As well as Daphne “Dap” Brown, personal caregiver; May God bless you the Robinson Family.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2013, at 3 p.m. from the sanctuary of New Life Ministries, 5651 Inn Perimeter Road, Valdosta, Ga. — Harrington Funeral Home Inc.
