Teresa Blair Raines, 57, passed away July 23, 2013, in Valdosta.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 27, 2013, in the chapel of T.J. Beggs Jr. & Sons Funeral Home in Madison, Fla. (850)973-2258.
The family will receive friends from 10:15 -11 a.m. prior to the service.

She was born in Anchorage, Alaska while her father was stationed there in the Army. They moved back home to Lee, where she was raised. She graduated from Madison High School in 1974, and North Florida Junior College. She then moved to Jennings, Fla., and received her bachelor and master’s degrees from Valdosta State University. She was a speech pathologist for 30 years and taught at several elementary schools in Hamilton County and Winston-Salem, N.C., where she lived before coming to Lake Park, Ga., in 2007.
She loved to read, travel, paint, sing and play the guitar. She enjoyed the simple things like going out to eat or taking a walk. She loved family get togethers, especially during holidays.
She is survived by her children, Ryan McCulley (Christina) of Jennings, Fla., Raissa Hill (Brian), Lake Park; sister, Debra Blair Hodge (Billy), Lake Park; three grandchildren, Logan McCulley, Lance McCulley, and Davis Hill. — T.J. Beggs Jr. & Sons Funeral Home, Madison, Fla.
