-- — Sarah Lee Dasher Grant, a lifetime resident of Brooks County, was born September 1, 1925, was the daughter of the late  Emanuel “Man” Dasher and Mamie Sharp Dasher.

She was married to the late Berry Grant, Sr.

Sarah retired from the Brooks County Board of Education where she served as Manager of Nutrition at Quitman Elementary School.  Her life was a life of service to the Brooks County Community.

 She had a lifetime relationship with the members of the following      congregations: Welcome Hope Christian Church, Salem Missionary  Baptist Church, Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church and Mount Hope Missionary Baptist Church.  At the time of her demise, Mother Sarah Grant was a member of Joyful Sound International  Ministry of Valdosta, GA.  She had many long term friendships throughout Brooks County and surrounding areas.

Sarah Lee Dasher Grant was granted eternal rest, Monday, April 14, 2014.

 Sarah leaves to rejoice a life well-lived, one son: Berry Grant, Jr. (Annette) of Cleveland, OH; five daughters: Louise Smith (Kevin) of Ossining, NY, Julia Grant Berry of Lake Park, GA, Carolyn Grant of Quitman, GA, Diane Reed (Lewis) of Valdosta, GA, and Mary Spells (Jacob) of Clinton, NC; one god-son: Thomas Jones of West Palm Beach, FL; two god-daughters: Sedonia Petty (Terry) and Carolyn  Parker of Valdosta, GA; five granddaughters: Sarah Noble (Myron), Yvette Fountain (Fred, Jr.), Bonita Bailey (William), Pamela Oxley, and Angie Grant; nine grandsons: Eric Grant (Sandra), Darryl Roberson (Samantha), Marion Grant , Berry Grant III (Lyneshia) , Desmond Grant , Christopher Grant, Jr.,  Reggie Grant, Duane Grant, and Karmirise Grant (Jessica); twenty six great-grandchildren; six great great-grandchildren; special niece: Dorothy    Denson; special nephew: Bobby Zumi (Peggy); special cousin: Annette Miles; two special neighbors: Mabel Bryant and Wilma Griffin; Bishop Andrew and Sharion Goins, and Annie B. Smith; numerous dedicated nieces, nephews and cousins; and her Joyful Sound International Ministry Church Family.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at The Church of God Tabernacle in Quitman, GA with Dr. Warnell Parker, Pastor and Rev.
