Mrs. Myrna Rae Bullard, 75, of Adel, Georgia, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2013 at her residence. She was born February 5, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Abraham Max Handmacher and Dorothy Smith Handmacher. She lived most of her life in Cook County. She was a homemaker and a member of Community Calvary Holiness Church.
Surrounded by her loving family, Myrna passed away peacefully into the arms of our Lord. She devoted her life to loving her husband Speedle, her children and grandchildren. Myrna always wore that sweet smile; you knew she was glad to see you.
She never missed an occasion to let someone know they were special and remembered. She was a strong woman who throughout her life taught us all how to face challenges head on, and now she has received the ultimate gift of becoming an angel in heaven.
Mrs. Bullard is survived by her husband, William Arnold “Speedle” Bullard of Adel, Georgia; a daughter and son -in-law, Alacia and Kirk Harnage of Adel, Georgia, a son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Angela Bullard of Adel, Georgia, daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Sean Higbea, Charlotte, North Carolina and son and daughter-in-law, Brock and Heather Bullard of Marietta, Georgia. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Alicia, Brad and Blake Harnage, Chad and Toni Leigh Bullard, Landa Tucker, Hailey , Hannah and Hudson Higbea, and Braxton, Harrison and Thatcher Bullard. She is also survived by one brother, Burton Handmacher of Atlanta, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 16, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Community Calvary Holiness Church in Adel, Georgia with Rev. Neil Bridges, Rev. Greg Roberts and Rev. Cliff Foster officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
Visitation time was reportedly set to run from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
