Columbus Washington, Sr.

VALDOSTA — Columbus Washington Sr. has left an indelible fingerprint on the Valdosta Community over the past 60 plus years. If you have lived in or are familiar with the subdivision of Wood Valley, Forrest Manor Apartments, Academy Acres, Hightower Subdivision, or the Hudson Dockett projects, then you have seen the  handiwork of Columbus Washington. In fact, Washington Street, in the Hudson Dockett area was named after him.
