Shawn Kyante Waters was born on September 2, 1994 to Ernest Whitfield, Jr. and Tisha Waters Whitfield and Randy Denson.
He was born and lived in Brooks County all of his life. At an early age he was baptized into Christ at Shumate Street Church of Christ.
He received his education in the Brooks County School System. He was an upcoming senior in high school and a proud member of the Brooks County Trojans Football Team. He started his football career at an early age through the BCYC. Shawn’s home was “Home of the Brooks County Trojans.” He was also a dedicated employee at Harvey’s Supermarket.
Shawn leaves to cherish in his loving memories, his parents: Ernest Whitfield, Jr. and Tisha Waters Whitfield and Randy Denson; a sister, Keiundra Bell, Brothers, Devron Whitfield and Ernest Whitfield, III; a nephew, Caleb Williams; he also leaves behind loving and devoted grandparents and great grandparents; with one proceeding him in death, Mr. Ernest Whitfield, Sr. Shawn has a host of supportive uncles, aunts, cousins, friends and relatives who helped make his life so much easier. He will truly be missed.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 4:00 P.M. at The Tabernacle Church in Quitman, with Brother Tony Herring, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in the North End Cemetery in Quitman. Public viewing and visitation will be held on Friday, July 12, 2013 between the hours of 2:00 P.M. and 9:00 P.M. at the Stevens-McGhee Funeral Home in Quitman.
