VALDOSTA —  Mrs. Frances Rubye Gray Hall was the first of two children born on October 16, 1923 to the Late Frank and Annie Ola Gray.  She departed her life on February 12, 2013.  A time and purpose under Heaven… Ecclesiastes 3:1. Frances Hall was educated under Sweetfield Church School.  Later, she finished her education in the Brooks County School system.  She attended college at Albany State College, where she received her B.S. degree and teaching credentials.  She worked in the Brooks County School system for thirty-one years.  She married the Late David Hall and to this union, she was blessed to adopt Shirley Hall Ingram, who preceded her in death. She joined Sweetfield Baptist Church at a very early age and served faithfully as a life-long, beloved member. She served diligently in many   areas of the church, including choir member, church clerk, Sunday school teacher and various other committees.  She also served as Vice President of the Brooks County Union and was an active member of the Thomasville Missionary Baptist Association. Frances Hall served faithfully in the Kappa Eta Omega Chapter of  Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. A time to weep, a time to laugh and a time to mourn…Ecclesiastes 3:4. Her passing leaves many to cherish her memory; four grandchildren, Ebony Ingram Howard (Jeremiah), Douglasville, GA, Brandon N. Ingram, Quitman, GA, Shiann F. Ingram, Honolulu, HI, Donavan Ingram, Clarkston, GA; four nephews, Isaac C. Gray (Margaret), Columbus, OH, Olin C. Gray (Carprice) and David H. Gray, both of Clarkston, GA, Frank Gray, New York; three great-grandchildren, ArTina R. Malone, Douglasville, GA, Branniaja K. Ingram, Quitman, GA, Brandon Ingram, Jr., Ft. Lauderdale, FL; one sister-in-law, Martha L. Richardson; one step-son, Howard A. Drinks, Ft. Lauderdale, FL; a devoted host of cousins, nieces, nephews and numerous friends that will miss her dearly.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Sweetfield Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. James Thompson, officiating.  Burial will follow in the Sweetfield Church Cemetery.  Stevens-McGhee Funeral Home in Quitman, GA is in charge of the arrangements.
