Jeffrey Ross Johns “Jabo Tanner’’, 41, of Lakeland, Ga., passed away from a sudden illness May 11, 2013 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born March 6, 1972 in Jesup, Ga., to the late Herman Lee Johns & Alice Jeanette Kirkland Mancil.
He was Baptist by faith, loved children, had a love for basketball, and playing the Trumpet. He worked at Hamilton County Department of Corrections which was a great accomplishment and goal he was proud of. He is preceded in death by his Father, Herman Lee Johns, Brother, Michael Lee Johns, and a Step Mother, Shelby J. Johns.

Johns & April Johns, Niece & Nephew-in-Law, Lacey & Rene Chavez, Niece & Nephew-in-Law, Misty & Jamie Rogers, Nephew & Niece-in-Law, Justin & Ashley Johns, Nephew & Niece-in-Law, Corey & Judy Kirkland, Nephew & Niece-in-Law, Trey & Robin, Nephews, Little Robert Johns; Niece, Amber Marie Garrett, Niece, Suzanne Heck, Nephew, Timmy Johns, Nephew, Jacob Johns, Great Nieces, Kayla Rogers, Myanna Rogers, Farrah Johns, and Ansley Kirkland, Great Nephews, Blake Johns, Tristian Melton, Gage Creecy, and C.J. Kirkland.
Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 3 p.m., in Goodhope Cemetery in Lowndes County, GA. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2013 1 hour prior to services at Music Funeral Services in Lakeland, Ga.
