VALDOSTA — Albert “Bubba” Brantley, 64, of Lake Park, died on Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was born on April 30, 1949, to the late John Henry and Arlonia Cook Brantley and had been a resident here all his life. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a self-employed contractor painter. Mr. Brantley was of the Christian faith.

Survivors include his wife, Melody McEady of Lake Park; two sons and daughters-in-law, Albert J.C. and Stacey Brantley of Conyers, Ga., Jacob Brantley and Savannah Lehman of Lake Park; two stepdaughters, Lisa Rich of Lake Park and Jennifer Rich of Augusta; grandchildren, Dylan Brantley and Laken Stalvey, both of Valdosta, Gavin Brantley, Gracen Brantley, and Dayton Brantley, all of Conyers, and Jeremiah Brantley of Lake Park.

A memorial service for Albert Brantley will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, 2013, in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home.
