Annie Elizabeth Webb Johnson, of Jennings, Fla., passed away Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013 at Suwannee Valley Nursing Center in Jasper.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Sunday, October 13, 2013 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home in Jasper, Fla. Interment will follow at Hebron Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday between the hours of 2-4 p.m.
Elizabeth was born in Apopka, Fla. on Oct. 14, 1914 to the late William and Eliza McCall Webb. She will be remembered by many from her days in the classroom where she worked tirelessly to help students improve their reading capabilities. Others will remember her kind and caring spirit as well as her dedication to her community. Beth, as she was fondly referred to, was a family and community historian of sorts. She enjoyed any opportunity to share her stories with family and friends. Mrs. Johnson was a faithful member of Hebron Primitive Baptist Church and managed the business of the church cemetery as long as her health permitted. Her knowledge of the church and cemetery was invaluable. Ms. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband Allen S. Johnson; her parents and numerous siblings.
Elizabeth was a loving mother to her four children and is survived by her three sons, Freddie A. Johnson and his wife Rosemary of Gainesville, Fla., William Frank Johnson and his wife Brenda of Winter Haven, Fla. and Danny R. Johnson and his wife Susan of Jennings, Fla.; one daughter, Elaine McCulley and her husband Tommy of Ormond Beach, Fla.; eight grandchildren and eight grandchildren.
