Anna Blanton White, 85, of Valdosta, Ga., passed away Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Langdale Hospice House. She was born on March 20, 1928 in Valdosta, Ga., to the late Henry Alfred Blanton and Rena Smith Blanton. Mrs. White was a member of Corinth Church and a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters, Martha Findley, of Lake Park; Rena Alice Hutchinson, of Valdosta; four grandsons, Charles J. Findley, of Statenville; Paul Brian Findley, of Lake Park; Jason Hutchinson (Kate), of Gainesville, Fl; and Justin Hutchinson (Nicole), of Tifton; nine great-grandchildren, Dylan Hutchinson, Frazier Findley, Jennifer Findley, Brad Findley, Blake Findley, Brandon Findley, Megan Findley, Emma Findley, and Brayden Findley. Also surviving is a sister, Lois Ellis, and one brother Arthur Blanton (Frances), both of Valdosta; a sister-in-law, Mary Blanton, of Valdosta; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family express thanks to CeCe Dowdy for being there for the family and Ms Anna and also thanks to the staff of Langdale Hospice. In addition to her parents she is predeceased in death by her husband of 66 years, Paul N. White, two sisters, Zelphia Rentz, and Kathleen Thompson; five brothers, L.A. Blanton, Albert Blanton, Melvin Blanton, Havard Blanton, and Claude Blanton, and one son-in-law, James Hutchinson.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 2, 2014 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Dr. Stanley Luke officiating, interment will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
