VALDOSTA — Myrtice Ruby Musgrove Phillips, 94, of Quitman, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, at the Presbyterian Home in  Quitman. Mrs. Phillips was born Dec. 16, 1918, to the late Martin and Hattie Priest Musgrove in Recovery, Ga. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Quitman.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Willis Cooper of Quitman; one son and daughter-in-law, H.R. “Sonny” and Janice Phillips of Tallahassee, Fla.; son-in-law, Tommy Roberts of Quitman; five grandchildren, Tommy Blake Roberts, Jeffery Cooper, Jenifer Cooper Morgan, Josh Phillips, and Cody Phillips; six great-grandchildren, Jay Morgan, Anna Morgan, Allison McCall, Macie Roberts, Walker Phillips, and Jacob Shepard.

Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Phillips; and one daughter, Carolyn Roberts.

Graveside services will be held Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, at 11 a.m. in Oak Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Marty Carnes officiating.
