Idell Essie Rigdon, 87, of Nashville, died Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, at her residence.
She was born March 24, 1926, in Berrien County to the late Joe Mathis and the late Alice Lewis.
She was a homemaker and member of Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence Plymel; and son, James Winston Plymel.
She is survived by her husband, Wilbert Rigdon of Nashville; daughter, Katie Weeks of Adel; stepdaughter, Elaine Rigdon of Nashville; sister, Betty Meyer of Lakeland; 6 grandchildren, Tammy Clements, Bill Plymel, Kevin Weeks, Susan Corbitt, Jessica Parkerson, and Jeremy Smith; 12 great-grandchildren and 10-great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. J.W. Dukes III and Rev. Freddie Stone officiating. Interment will follow in the Poplar Springs Cemetery. Visitation is today from 7 to 9 p.m. — Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville
