Fred Allen “Stovepipe” McGill, 88, of Nashville died Thursday April 18, 2013 at his residence.
He was born July 31, 1924 in Berrien County to the late Fred McGill and the late Vianna Loyed. He was a retired sales representative with McKesson Distributors Co. He was a member of the Nashville First Baptist Church and an Army Veteran. He was preceded in death by a daughter: Shannon Lea Smith.
He is survived by the mother of his children, Ona Faye Fitzgerald of
Ellijay; two daughters, Donna Faye McGill Malmstrom of Nashville and Anna Beth Hacker of Ellijay; four grandchildren, Rhiannon Kistler, Shadrick Starling, Starla White, and Heather Retterbush; five great-grandchildren, Christain Mata, Gabriel Ruiz, Shane Starling, Christian Starling, and Jessie James White; great-great grandchild: Raven Bella Mata.
Funeral services will be held today, April 20, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. in the Nashville First Baptist Church with the Rev. Stanley Luke officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery. Visitation will be held today from 1 to 2 p.m. — Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville
