Willie A. (Junior) Stone Jr. 69, of Lakeland, Ga., passed away Tuesday night, April 16, 2013, at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was born Nov. 17, 1943, to the late Willie Alver Sr. and Jencie Melissa (Gaskins) Stone in Berrien County, Ga. He was employed as an industrial mechanic at B-Way Inc. in Homerville, Ga., for 43 years before his retirement. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandsons, Robert Croft, Derek Brown; and a brother, Iral Stone.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Alice Mathis Stone of Lakeland; daughters, Missy Stone, Lakeland, Prissy Brown, Lakeland,; sons and daughter-in-law, Kenny Stone, Nashville, Ga., Shorty and Annette Brown, Lakeland, Mark Brown, Lakeland; grandchildren, Ken Stone, Chris Stone, Colby Marcatos, Macade Marcatos, Macey Carter, Erik Brown, Jackie Croft, Shanna Croft, Brody Brown, Lacey Brown, Rachel Brown, Richard Brown, Riley Brown; great-grandchildren, Jack Jack Croft, Jacee Croft, Dashaw Sirmans, Kyleigh Smith, Kenneth Stone III; sisters and brother-in-law, Blondine and Mack Lovette, Nashville, Pauline and Sam Kennedy, Nashville, Margie Price, Lakeland, Mary Jones, Nashville, Ga.; brothers and sister-in-law, Tillman Stone, Lakeland, Ronnie and Hazel Stone, Lakeland; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 19, 2013, in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery in Lakeland, Ga.
