Curtis Wetherington, 83, of Nashville died Sunday March 30, 2014 at his residence.
He was born Nov. 2, 1930 in Cook County to the late Ira Wetherington and the late Ruby Watson. He was a retired sales agent with Independent and American General. He was an avid ham radio operator, a Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict, member of Nashville VFW Post and a member of Nashville First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Wetherington; granddaughter: Brook Chauncey; two brothers: Ralph Wetherington and Frank Wetherington; two sisters: Cleo Dryden and Sallie
He is survived by his wife, Virginia May Wetherington of Nashville; daughter, Sandra (Shelly) Chauncey of Pearson; son, Greg ( Donna) Wetherington of Nashville; brother, Ira Thomas Wetherington of Anderson, S.C.; two grandsons: Chris (Nikki) Wetherington and Jeremy (Katie) Wetherington; several great- grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday April 2, 2014 at 2 p.m. in the Nashville First Baptist Church with the Rev. Stanley Luke, the Rev. Danny Ray and the Rev. Ben Rice officiating. Interment will follow in Empire Cemetery. Visitation will be held this evening from 6-8 p.m. — Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville
