-- — Mrs. Elizabeth Patrick Gleghorn, 71, of Valdosta, departed this earthly walk of life on Friday, March 14, 2014 at the Heritage Healthcare of Valdosta after a lengthy illness.  She was born on January 29, 1943 in Ashburn, Ga., to the late Ms. Daycee Sanford and Mr. Bobby Lee Patrick.

She attended Pinevale High School.  She worked at Plantation Restaurant and Ole Times Country Buffet where she retired from after 20 years.  She loved to fish and cook.

She touched so many lives and hearts.  She was a woman of integrity and was loved by many.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers:  Willie Lee Patrick, Bobby Lee Patrick, Jr. and David Pickett; one sister:  Ella Mae Patrick.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 20 years,  Mr. Marshall Gleghorn of Valdosta; her children,  Shirley Hutchinson, Jill Gleghorn and Melissa Gleghorn all of Valdosta; three grandchildren:  Nicole Patrick of Warner Robins, Destiny Perry and Jamie Perry both of Valdosta; four great-grandchildren,  Sniyha Perry, Kamora Perry, Javon Miller, Jr. and Yasna Hargett; three brothers,  Henderson Patrick, Willie T. Patrick (Patricia) and Johnny B. Patrick, all of Valdosta; one sister,  Velma Minute of Peoria, Ill.; one sister-in-law:  Ruth Pickett of Ashburn; god children,  Mary Wilson Thomas and Renee Wiseman both of Valdosta; also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.  A special thanks to the Heritage Healthcare of Valdosta Staff, Mrs. Vernell Henry and United Hospice.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. The  Rev. Brantley McCollough, pastor, officiating.  Burial will follow in the Riverview Memorial Gardens. Public viewing will be held on today from 2– 8 p.m.  at the funeral home. — Stevens Funeral Home of Valdosta.
